This policy explains how HireWebScraper (owner: S M Suvo Ahmed, Bangladesh) handles data in the Smart Scraper Studio desktop app, the website www.hirewebscraper.com and the "Smart Scraper Video" tool.
What we collect
Website: the messages and payment notes you send us, and basic anonymous visit counts. A small first-party cookie (hws_src, 90 days) remembers which site or link first brought you here, so we know which channels work. Two more first-party cookies (hws_vid, a random visitor id, and hws_trail, the last few pages you opened here, 90 days) tell us which pages lead people to our Fiverr / Upwork gigs; if you type your email on this site, we may link it to that id so we can follow up on your request. If you choose “Sign in with Google”, Google shares your name, email address and profile photo with us; we use them only for your account (samples, orders, filling in your email) and keep a sign-in cookie (hws_sess, 90 days). We never get your password or access to your Gmail. Sign out on the account page any time, or ask us to delete your account at [email protected]. For visits to our price and list pages we may record the name of the network your visit came from (for example a company network) with the city and country — never your IP address. If you ask for the monthly data report, we keep your email for it until you unsubscribe (one click in every email). App: an anonymous install id, the app version and the plan you use, so we can deliver updates and licences. The leads, files and projects you create stay on your own computer.
Google / YouTube data
The Smart Scraper Video tool asks for the YouTube permission youtube.upload only to upload the videos you approve to your own channel. The access token is stored only on your computer. We do not read, store on our servers, sell or share your Google or YouTube data, and we do not use it for advertising or to train AI models. Our use of information received from Google APIs follows the Google API Services User Data Policy, including the Limited Use requirements. You can remove access any time at myaccount.google.com/permissions. YouTube is used under the YouTube Terms of Service and Google Privacy Policy.
Google Sheets export (Google Drive)
If you click “Open in Google Sheets” in Smart Scraper Studio, the app asks Google for the permission drive.file only. With it the app can create and update only the spreadsheets it makes for you — it cannot see, read or change any other file in your Google Drive. The sign-in token is stored only on your computer; your files go directly from your computer to your Google Drive and never through our servers. We do not sell or share this data, do not use it for advertising and do not use it to train AI models. Our use of information received from Google APIs follows the Google API Services User Data Policy, including the Limited Use requirements. You can disconnect in the app (Ctrl+K → “Disconnect Google Sheets”) or at myaccount.google.com/permissions.
AI services
When you use AI features, the text needed for that task is sent to the AI service you chose (for example Google Gemini, Groq or OpenRouter) with your own key, under that provider's terms. If you use the free AI starter or AI credits, the text goes through our website to Cloudflare Workers AI (and, only for AI credits, possibly to the Anthropic Claude API). We do not store the text you send or the answers — only counters (how many answers, credit balance, an estimated cost) linked to your licence email, so we can show your balance and stop misuse. These providers do not use API data to train their models under their commercial terms.
Sharing
We do not sell personal data. We share data only with the services needed to run the product (hosting, payment, email) or when the law requires it.
